Rosehill Recycled Water Scheme - Fairfield
Remediation of an asbestos and hydrocarbon impacted site through handpicking and landfarming of the material. There was also diversions of existing stormwater and sewer pipeline services required.
The scope of work includes:
- Construction of sorting area for handpicking asbestos impacted material.
- Landfarming of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon affected material.
- Removal of large mound on southern boundary of project (2,500m3 approx).
- Disposal of contaminated material to licensed landfill sites and replacement with clean fill.
- Installation of new stormwater and sewer lines and diverting existing services through them.
- Creation of batter on southern boundary with clay capping over contaminated material.
- Revegetation of battered area.
