North Brown Hill Wind Farm
Design and Construct roads and foundations for Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) on the North Brown Hill Wind Farm. The site is located on private properties in rural South Australia and covers 38km2.
The scope of work includes:
- Design of Roads to allow transport of WTG Components
- Construction of 43km of roads
- Cut to Fill of 225,000m3 of earth
- Associated Drainage
- Revegetation of disturbed areas
- Upgrade of council roads used by the wind farm
- Construction of laydown areas, typically 20,000m2
- Construction of 800m2 crane hard stands at each WTG location
- Design of foundations for WTG's
- Construction of reinforced concrete foundations for 63No WTG's that are post tensioned and rock anchored
- Levelling of packers upon which the 125m WTGs are installed
- Precision Grouting
- Design and Construction of Kiosk Transformer footings
Substation civil works includes:
- Detail excavation of trenches and pad footings
- Construction of reinforced concrete pad footings and cable trenches
- Fibre reinforced concrete
- Storm Water installation, including oil separator and rock pitched batters
- Installation of electrical conduits
- SDM compliant fencing
- Roads, kerbs, paths etc
