Royal North Shore Hospital - Roadworks


The job involves the staged construction and upgrade of new and existing roads and infrastructure in and around the new Royal North Shore Hospital Community Health and Acute Building facilities.

The scope of work includes:

- Upgrade of existing roads and services in Westbourne St
- Upgrade of existing roads and services in Herbert St
- Full re-development of Reserve Rd
- Construction of new roads (Red rd, Blue rd and Eileen St).

Amongst the various activities undertaken are:

- Installation of 1.2 km of new stormwater services, sizes ranging from 375mm dia to 1050mm dia and at depths of up to 6m
- Complete re-grading and re-development to over 8500m2 of the existing Reserve Rd
- Construction of a 240m long cast in-situ concrete retaining wall in Westbourne St
- Construction of over 7500m2 of new flexible and rigid pavements including associated kerbs, footpaths and street furniture
- Mill and re-sheet to over 3500m2 of existing road pavements
- Trenching and backfilling new High Voltage, Low Voltage and Telecommunication services
