Taxiway Foxtrot Reconstruction Contract 1435
The works comprise of the excavation and reconstruction of the centrally trafficked pavements of Taxiway Foxtrot both east & west of Runway 16R/34L at Sydney Airport. All works were undertaken during night curfew hours between 11.00pm and 5.00am.
The scope of work includes:
- Profile existing asphaltic surface to 300mm below FSL.
- Excavate to 600mm below FSL.
- Place 2x250mm layers of 6% & 2% stabilment BBFS (Blended Blast Furnace Slag).
- Finish pavement with 100mm thick BC14 asphalt.
- Install airfield lighting and reinstate pavement markings to reconstructed taxiway.
