Pasminco Cockle Creek Smelter Site Remediation

 

Construction of Containment Cell and associated infrastructure for site remediation of former Pasminco Cockle Creek Smelter Site.

 

The scope of work includes:

 

- Groundwater cutoff Drains and leachate collection systems.

- Groundwater sumps and pumping systems.

- Placement of approx 750,000m3 of contaminated soils.

- Installation of HDPE and LLDPE cell liner systems.

- Design and construct leachate treatment plant.

- Containment cell capping system including native grass revegetation.
