SEL Greystanes Estate Development
Burton Contractors and Ward Engineering have formed a Joint Venture (Burton Ward Joint Venture) to undertake the remediation of the existing Boral Quarry and convert the site into an industrial development estate.
The scope of work includes:
- Bulk Excavation of 2,400,000m3 of shale, dolerite and picrite.
- Blasting of 1,200,000m3 including crushing and processing.
- Construction of sewerage treatment plant.
- Asbestos remediation.
- Removal and replacement of uncontrolled fills.
- Batter stabilisation and treatment.
- Construction of roadworks.
- Construction of stormwater retention system.
- Fencing, landscaping and maintenance.
