Chatswood Civic Place

 

The former Willoughby Council Site in the middle of Chatswood CBD is being redeveloped by the Council. A new council building incorporating the largest library in NSW, theatre, visual and performing arts space, council offices, retail shops and a 400 space car park is currently being constructed.

 

The scope of work includes:

 

- Excavation of 100,000m3 of clay, shale, siltstone and sandstone.

- Remediation of asbestos impacted material.

- Removal of contaminated waste.

- Installation of shoring and foundation piles.

- Shotcrete retaining to perimeter.

- Temporary ground anchors and rock bolts.

- Temporary face stabilisation.

- Detail excavation of footings.

- Hardcore drainage layer.
