Barangaroo Excavation Contract

Ward is pleased to announce the execution of contract for basement excavation at the high-profile Crown Casino, Barangaroo. With the signing of the contract, Ward begins preparations to commence bulk excavation of over 70,000 m3 of potentially contaminated material. The project will incorporate a nation-first “top-down” methodology, in which the excavations will be carried out alongside the high-rise construction. Innovation aside, the Barangaroo project is the largest contract in Ward’s 44-year history, secured through the diligent work of Senior Project Manager Dave Condon and his team, as well as through the efforts of Senior Estimator Brian Walsh and COO Brian Mahon.
