Overview//

Our culture

Ward prides itself on its family history in business and strives to uphold the values instilled by the company’s founder, the late Peter Ward. Peter’s philosophy was a “can do” attitude, working respectfully, honestly and with integrity. All employees at Ward are part of the Ward family. No one is a number. We strive to assist in the development of honest and ethical professionals in an environment that encourages respect, transparency and communication.

Ward provides a clear pathway for the advancement of talented people. Invaluable opportunities are offered to employees who have the desire to work hard and strive for success.

Working at Ward

Ward is an excellent place to unlock potential and build a career. Our people can work on a variety of projects across an array of sectors. This provides outstanding opportunities for our employees to build experience and knowledge across a wide range of capabilities.

Ward has played an important role in developing many of NSW’s iconic landmarks, including the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Parramatta Light Rail, Westconnex, Sydney Olympic swimming pool and excavating the basement for Crown Sydney at Barangaroo (while the building went up, we were busy burrowing the basement underneath!). Ward received a Master Builders Association Safety Excellence award for the Crown Sydney project with the judging panel likening our safety processes to “the inner workings of a Swiss watch”.

If you join Ward, you will be proud to work in our organisation.

Our people

Ward is an innovative performer in the industry. We encourage our people to think laterally and differently, so we can bring innovative options to our clients. We are also early adopters of new technologies. This enables us to be at the forefront of engineering capabilities.

We continually invest in our people, as they are our greatest asset. Our training programs include on-the-job training as well as company-wide employee certifications, particularly with respect to safety.
