Project Engineer

About the opportunity

Our estimating team have secured a number of new projects within the Sydney civil and remediation sector. We are looking to appoint a Project Engineer to join and offer support to one of our successful project teams on a new major project. The key objective of the Project Engineer will be to provide support to the Project Manager, who is responsible for the delivering of small to large size projects.

Duties

  1. To actively participate in the development of overall job schedule with project team.
  2. Forward planning for procurement of resources in advance of required time for job.
  3. Together with the project team, monitor daily work activities for production and effectiveness of resources and implement improvements with respect to activity costs.
  4. Interact with project team in developing and implementing site safety manual.
  5. Conduct Safe Work Method Statement reviews, site inductions and raise permits
  6. Develop and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s) and other inspection check sheets.
  7. On site job costing cost projection.

Who we are looking for

  1. 3-5 years’ experience in a Project/Site Engineer role in civil construction works
  2. Road pavement construction to RMS specification and/or earthworks experience is essential
  3. Tier 2 – Tier 3 experience is preferred
  4. Sydney market experience is preferable, but not essential
  5. A valid driver’s license
  6. Confident in the use of Microsoft Office suit. Any experience in using Microsoft Project will be highly regarded but not necessary.
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  8. You will have an enthusiastic, engaged attitude and an eagerness to learn.
  9. A team-focus with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people at all levels.
  10. A driven, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative.

 

Site Surveyor

About the opportunity:

Our estimating team have secured a number of new projects within the Sydney civil and remediation sector.  We are looking to appoint a Site Surveyor to join and offer support to our project teams across a portion of our construction sites. The key objective of the Site Surveyor will be to provide support to the Project Teams, who are responsible for the delivery of small to large size projects across Sydney.

Who we are looking for:

 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a surveyor role in civil construction works with recognised survey qualifications
  • Worked in Road pavement construction to RMS specifications and Council specifications is advantageous
  • 12d, or Magnet experience will be highly regarded.
  • GPS experience is a must, preferably Topcon.
  • Experience with either Trimble or Leica total stations.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills and understand QA, WHS, and Environmental issues.
  • A driven, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • A valid driver’s license
  • NSW market experience is preferable, but not essential

Duties:

  • Liaison with engineers, supervisors and site office
  • Calibration of survey equipment
  • Interpretation of construction drawings, notifying site team of discrepancies
  • Problem solve/carry out design finalisation
  • All field survey set out and calcs

Contract Administrator

Who we are looking for:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Contract Administrator for our Utilities investigation department based in our Lane Cove West office.

In addition to your regular duties as a contract admin you will be required to carry out Business development in conjunction with our marketing team.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience in utility location and mapping is essential
  • A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a similar role
  • A team player with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-past environment, motivated, flexible with excellent communication skills.

 

Duties:

 

  • Reviewing incoming contractual correspondence from Clients, Subcontractors and Suppliers related to the project and assisting the Project Manager in preparing necessary contractual responses
  • Coordinate various utility service providers including electrical, water, sewer, gas and telecommunications
  • Assist Project Manager in coordinating project team which consists of Locators, Surveyors, Data Managers and GIS Technicians
  • Preparation and administration of variation claims, progress claims and any other claims and submissions that may be required to be submitted to the Client;
  • Monitor and advise management on any and all contract risks, critical issues that may impact on the project
  • Maintain and regularly update your knowledge of the industry
  • Manage all statutory and industry records
  • Attending pre-tender site meetings and submitting quotations for works
  • Prepare subcontract and supplier tender documents, call tenders and prepare comparative review schedules for management review.
  • Lodge, manage and maintain Dial-Before-You-Dig (DBYD) requests
  • Checking for potential conflicts between proposed and existing utilities
  • Support Project Managers with stakeholder notifications for shutdowns and cutovers

On offer:

  • Salary is $80,000 based on experience
  • 20 days annual leave

HSEQ Manager:

We are currently seeking a HSEQ Manager to join the team based at our head office in Lane Cove, who is personable and hands-on and will collaborate, develop and lead a team of HSEQ professionals with strategic direction in the areas of Safety, Occupational Health, Environment and Quality. Reporting to the COO, the role requires a solution focused leader with the attributes to positively guide, influence, develop and retain relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and clients alike.

Duties:

  • Ensure Business systems are implemented and maintained in the Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety Systems
  • Continually review the Business System Documentation and update as required
  • Overseeing Hazard and Risk Management including Critical Control Management audits ensuring risk mitigation strategies undertaken to manage identified non-conformances
  • Liaise with both external and internal auditors to enable the Business System to constantly improve and to function efficiently
  • Ensuring that the business complies with all applicable legislative requirements while driving constant improvement of WHSE performance
  • Have a working knowledge of, and act in accordance with relevant legislation

 

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in HSEQ or a related discipline with extensive HSEQ management expertise and a collaborative hands-on management approach. With strong technical writing skills, you will have experience establishing and maintaining business systems while also ensuring internal audits are being completed on a regular basis. You will be a self-driven individual with the capability to build strong interpersonal relationships in cross functional environment fostering collaboration and teamwork across multiple sites.

Recruitment & HR Administration Officer:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Recruitment & Hr Administration Officer to join the team based in our Lane Cove West office. You will be responsible for end to end recruitment for a number of different roles while balancing HR Administration work.

The successful applicant will have prior experience in HR and recruitment and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will be a team player with the ability to work autonomously, motivated, flexible with excellent communication skills.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • End to end recruitment for all roles.
  • Completing phone interviews and coordinating face to face interviews.
  • Contract management and completing all onboarding needs.
  • Expert knowledge in HR and Recruitment
  • Liaising with Senior management for recruitment needs
  • Scheduling reviews between managers and employees.
  • HR Administration tasks.

Applicants must have:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • CIPD certified or equivalent.
  • Can work alone with little direction.
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to articulate the rationale for recruitment decisions.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressured environment, with tight deadlines.
