New Chief Executive Officer appointment

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Julia Ward as the new Chief Executive Officer of Ward, effective immediately. 

Julia is the daughter of the later Peter Ward, who founded our multi-disciplined and full-service civil and environmental engineering contracting business back in 1973.  She has been a key member of Ward’s executive and leadership team since 2014 in her capacity as Chief Financial Officer and has served as a member of the Board of Directors since her late father’s passing in 2008.  She will take over from Karl McCarthy, who has led the business for the past two years.  

We will continue to emphasise maintaining positive long-term relationships with our clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other valued partners.  We are exceptionally proud of our history in helping to shape the landscape of NSW and are excited to capitalise on our experience, expertise, and unique multi-disciplinary in-house capabilities to successfully deliver projects over the years to come.  The dedication that we show to our people, the loyalty of our staff, and the strong emphasis that we place on their safety will also continue to be a core value of our business.
