NSW Landscape Architecture Award

Congratulations to GroupGSA and Greater Sydney Parklands for winning the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) 2023 NSW Landscape Architecture Award for Parks and Open Space for the Wylde Mountain Bike and BMX Precinct at Western Sydney Parklands.

Ward is proud to have participated in this project as the design and construct contractor for the Wylde Mountain Bike Relocation and New Access Road Civil, Infrastructure and Landscape Works.

Wylde Mountain Bike and BMX Precinct is a unique active recreation facility in the heart of Western Sydney Parklands. At 86 hectares, it is the largest combined biking hub in Australia featuring more than 15km of purpose-built mountain bike trails, an AusCycle certified BMX racetrack and the largest pump track in the Southern Hemisphere.

Wylde was specifically designed to integrate new biking facilities within the sensitive Cumberland Plain Woodland, offering a genuine and highly attractive bushland experience for the rider with low impact to the environment
