Overview: The contract comprised the preparation of an 11ha site for the construction of a new distribution warehouse for Aldi.
Scope of works:
- Site clearance of trees and shrubs, erection of fencing and gates
- Erosion and sedimentation control
- Removal of topsoil and the remediation of unsuitable subgrade
- Importing, placing and compaction of 230,000m3 of fill to strict geotechnical specifications
- Insitu lime stabilisation of imported shale materials to achieve the specified material properties
- Construction of a temporary access road (including road widenings)
