Overview: Ward was contracted by The Royal Botanic Gardens Domain Trust to restore and reconstruct the historic seawall along Sydney Harbour’s Farm Cove inlet, in the exact order of removal. The project was broken down into two stages, being the eastern and western aspects of Farm Cove.

Scope of works:

• Carefully remove 135 Lm of seawall, 100 Lm on West and 35 Lm on East, with approx 750 stones removed in total
• Install front and rear piles and cut to level underwater with divers
• Install 22 x 23 tonne precast panels (with façade stone) (6 on east side and 16 on west side)
• Concrete annulus (pile-precast connection)
• Reconstruct seawall in exact order of removal
• Place gravel and geo-fabric behind wall
• Install drainage through and behind seawall
• Construct suspended slab and asphalt works
