The M5 East Cooks River Substation Access Road upgrade allows for continued access to the M5 East substation following development of Barton Park and the Kogarah Golf Course. The new access road runs from the existing M5 truck breakdown bay to the substation alongside the Cook River.

Scope of works:

  • Vegetation and Tree Clearing
  • Bulk Earthworks including management of landfill gas from the old Rockdale City Council Tip
  • Impact rolling to existing bulk earthwork pad to improve strength
  • Minor remediation works
  • Stormwater and subsurface drainage
  • Pits and ducting for future use
  • Flexible pavement construction
  • Guard rail and security fencing
  • Topsoiling and spray mulch
