Outline: 

Ward have been awarded a contract for the demolition, remediation and civil works required to enable the construction of a replacement aviation foam testing facility at RAAF Base Williamtown.

Scope of works:

    • Establishment of erosion and sediment controls, including bunded stockpile area
    • Construction of hardstand for truck access
    • Demolition of a number of existing structures including a storage shed, numerous above and underground storage tanks and associated pipework, and concrete training pad and upstands
    • Management and disposal of PFAS impacted concrete
    • Excavation and load out of PFAS contaminated material to remove hotspot (haulage and treatment by others)
    • Dewatering and backfill of excavation
    • Preparation of base for foam testing building slab
    • Stormwater drainage connection for building
