Overview: Ward formed a joint venture with Burton Contractors (Burton Ward Joint Venture) to undertake the remediation of the existing Boral Quarry and convert the site into an industrial development estate.

Scope of works:

• Bulk excavation of 2,400,000m³ of shale, dolerite and picrate
• Blasting of 1,200,000m³ including crushing and processing
• Construction of sewerage treatment plant, roads, and a stormwater retention system
• Asbestos remediation
• Removal and replacement of uncontrolled fills
• Batter stabilisation and treatment, fencing, landscaping and maintenance
