Overview: Bulk excavation project at the University of Technology, Sydney.  The shoring systems were required on one third of the excavation due to the high strength sandstone involved.  A temporary loading platform was constructed to assist in the excavation, the last of which was done with a longreach excavator, 17m below the existing footpath level.

Scope of works:

• Minor demolition works
• Excavation of 80,000m3 and disposal of various types of contaminated materials
• Installation of permanent and temporary shoring systems (including bored piers with shotcrete and timber shoring), and installation of temporary anchors
