The project involved widening Epping Road and improving the Epping Road and Essex Street intersection. This was part of the NSW Government’s Urban Activation Precincts Program, facilitating the future development of Epping Town Centre. In late 2018, as part of the Sydney Metro Northwest project, the Epping to Chatswood rail line was temporarily closed and the Temporary Transport Plan was implemented to provide additional buses. The road and intersection upgrades carried out by Ward supported bus services and enhanced traffic flow in the area.
