Overview//
< BACKWard was responsible for the reconstruction of roads and services surrounding Parramatta, to improve its capacity to function as a major transport interchange.
Scope of Works//
- Demolition of existing structures
- Bulk earthworks to prepare the site for construction
- Construction of retaining walls to support the infrastructure
- Installation of stormwater drainage, electrical, and water services to facilitate the operation of the interchange
- Stage construction of permanent roads to maintain traffic flow during construction
- Construction of concrete pavements to provide durable surfaces for vehicles and pedestrians
- Temporary shoring to support excavation work
- Brick paving to create attractive public spaces
- Construction of permanent flexible pavements to accommodate various types of vehicles and traffic
- Installation of traffic signals to manage the flow of vehicles and ensure safety
