Overview//
< BACKWard and Burton Contractors formed a joint venture to remediate the Boral Quarry and convert the site into an industrial development estate.
Scope of Works//
- Excavation of 2,400,000m3 of shale, dolerite, and picrate in bulk
- Blasting 1,200,000m3, including crushing and processing
- Construction of a sewerage treatment plant, roads, and a stormwater retention system
- Asbestos remediation
- Removal and replacement of uncontrolled fills
- Stabilisation and treating of batters, erect fencing, landscaping and maintenance works
