Overview//
< BACKWard undertook demolition and civil works for the Pavilions residential development on behalf of Mirvac constructions. The development comprised two 40-storey apartment buildings and two low-rise towers, all with basement car parks. The project site was divided into four areas, and Ward delivered each milestone handover date on time and within budget. The team also provided comprehensive waste tracking documentation and completed all site remediation to the satisfaction of the client’s environmental representative.
Scope of Works//
- Demolition and removal of two existing 3-storey buildings
- Disposal of an existing underground storage tank and surrounding contaminated material
- Excavation, identification, treatment and removal of 12,000m3 of GSW asbestos impacted soils
- Design and construct bored pile and shotcrete shoring with temporary ground anchors
- Construction of capping beam and pile caps around the perimeter of basement excavation
- Bulk excavation and removal of 90,000m3 of VENM clay and shale (up to Class 1) and detailed and compliant waste tracking
- excavation, floor trimming and excavation/s awing of pad footings in Class 1 shale
- Construction of pad and strip footings to strict tolerance
