Ward was contracted to construct a 50,000m2 aircraft strength pavement for two new airplane parking bays located adjacent to the Emu Blue and Qantas Valet carparks. In addition, the project involved widening works for taxiways Bravo (B) and Charlie (C), and related service works throughout the site.

Scope of Works//

  • Bulk earthworks and sub-grade preparation
  • Construction of rigid and flexible pavements
  • Installation of stormwater infrastructure
  • Installation of electrical, communications and hydraulics infrastructure
  • Installation of Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) and Movement Area Guidance Signs (MAGS)
  • Construction of retaining walls and security fencing
  • Erection of apron flood lighting systems
  • Installation and commissioning of a high voltage (HV) substation
  • Line marking of the site
