Overview//
< BACKThe project was to construct four new aircraft parking bays to accommodate A380 aircraft. To achieve this, 80,000m2 of flexible and rigid pavements were built.
Scope of Works//
- Demolition of existing pavements and structures, including the removal and disposal of demolished products
- Bulk excavation and disposal of 80,000t of existing fill to make way for the new construction
- Installation of stormwater lines: 350m of 1650dia stormwater line, 270m of 600dia stormwater line and 360m of concrete slot drain for
- proper drainage of the new construction
- Installation of hydraulic services
- Construction of new HV sub-station, apron flood lighting, aircraft navigation system and associated in-ground cabling to support the new construction
- Construction of 20,000m2 of concrete pavement (10,000m3)
- Construction of 60,000m2 of flexible asphalt pavement
- Widening of an existing bridge structure
- Excavation and disposal of asbestos impacted materials
