Overview//
< BACKSydney Airport selected Ward to reconstruct approximately 11,000m2 of heavy-duty aircraft pavement for three airport parking bays at the International Terminal. This project includes associated works to upgrade refueling infrastructure and works will be staged to minimise closures of parking bays.
Scope of Works//
- Re-alignment of existing taxiway (ITN5) centreline, including relocation of AGLs
- Demolition and removal of existing pavements
- Excavation and preparation of subgrade for new pavements
- Decommissioning of existing fuel lines
- Excavation for and installation of new fuel pipelines and refueling points
- Construction of new aircraft concrete pavement, including jointing
- Reconstruction of adjacent flexible pavements
- Installation of new in-pavement stormwater and pipeline pits
- Upgrade and relocation of existing flood lights
