Overview//
< BACKWylde MTB and BMX is the largest combined mountain biking and BMX hub in Australia. It is a purpose-built sports precinct located in the heart of Western Sydney Parklands, catering for all competency levels of mountain bikers and BMX riders. Greater Sydney Parklands and Transport for NSW worked closely to relocate and expand the Wylde mountain bike trails and precinct, which were impacted by the new M12 Motorway, connecting the M7 to the Western Sydney International Airport. Ward successfully tendered for the design and construct contract for this important project. This involved relocating the precincts main entrance, (to accommodate the proposed footprint for the M12 Motorway corridor), creating a new BMX pump track, building a new trail bike track and new BMX racetrack, establishing a larger carpark, and relocating amenities. Ward also upgraded the main entrance to the neighboring Sydney International Shooting Centre as part of this complex and challenging project.
