Major Milestone

The Ward team recently achieved a major milestone on the Northern Beaches Hospital road upgrade project with the final breakthrough of the slot excavation works beneath the Wakehurst Parkway bridge.

This means there is now continuous access for people and equipment across the entire length of the site without the need to use the public road network. This should reduce the amount of construction traffic on the local road network and so improve the traffic risk environment for both workers and the local community. 

Well done to John Gillan, Jeff Richards and the entire project team for a job well done.
