School to Work Program

This week, staff from Ward had the privilege of joining Sydney Rooster Women’s NRL Captain Simaima Taufa in a career workshop for the Rooster’s Girls u-18 Tarsha Gale squad, at The National Centre of Indigenous Excellence in Redfern.  The purpose was to introduce these young sport stars to the career paths available to them, including those in the civil construction industry at Ward.

We at Ward are proud to support the Sydney Roosters women’s teams and their excellent work in the community including the School to Work program and the annual Artie Beetson Family Day as part of NAIDOC week.

It was an absolute pleasure to present alongside Simaima who’s empowering speech to these young women to pursue their dreams beyond the footy field was a must hear!

Overall, the workshop was a great success and we look forward to welcoming some new recruits into our great industry.

On the playing front the team has a must win game this Saturday morning at Cronulla and we are sure you will join us in wishing them all the best.
